Meet iuvando — an independent research portal for cancer patients who want to benefit from new active ingredients and therapies in clinical trials.
They help patients find hidden cancer treatment opportunities by collecting data from public databases, pharmaceutical companies, and hospitals.
iuvando reached out to us for help in developing their web portal.
Generally, we were tasked with upgrading iuvando's portal to match cancer patients with the perfect treatment methods.
Our business analyst gathered the requirements and transformed them into workable tasks.
We then built an optimal team of a backend developer, a QA analyst, and a project manager.
We were working in the agile process, using 2-week sprints. After each sprint, we made a demo to the customer to gather feedback. A project manager supports the team with guidance. Developers and testers take tasks and work on them one by one.
We implemented new functionalities and fixed old bugs working with PHP, VueJS, and MySQL.
It was a big project with many background processes already developed. For example, we had to research clinicaltrials.gov for the API data they deliver to resolve some of the existing issues.
We upgraded iuvando, so now, the treatments from all available databases are accurately displayed in the iuvando search: over 452 thousand trails are open at the iuvando portal.
We supported the customer during go-live and post-go-live maintenance. To allow simple go-live, we provided training materials like video recordings and documents to instruct the customer and ensure the customer can take over the configurator handling.
We support the solution in case of bugs or some questions to consult.
Far fewer bugs or difficulties are in their way — no need to drive through all hospitals and receive new stress.
Patients can easily choose filters and find all available treatment methods.
We are simply happy to help such a significant project and cancer fighters!
